How it works

Three steps and the ranking runs itself

Step 1

Log the match

Pick the four players, enter the sets, done. A friend not on the app yet? Add them as a guest and they claim their history when they join.

Step 2

Your rivals confirm

They get the result and confirm with one tap. They have 48 hours; then the match is locked in.

Step 3

The ranking moves

Every confirmed result adjusts your rating. At first you show up as calibrating while the app measures your real level.

Rating

A rating that gets how you play

Behind it there is serious math, from the same family chess uses. Up front, one clear thing: you went up, you went down, or you are calibrating. Never a formula.

Leagues

Leagues for your crew

Set up the league for your club, your office or the Tuesday group. Invite with a link and the table builds itself, match by match.

Confirmation

Results that count

No match counts until the rival team confirms it. That is why the table has no asterisks and no arguments.

Mateo cargó 6-4, 3-6, 7-5. Tenés 48 h para confirmarlo.

Head to head

Are you ahead, or is your arch-rival? The head-to-head record keeps count from the first match.

Frequently asked

What people ask before joining

What is Podio?

Podio is an app to log your padel matches, confirm them with your rivals and keep a ranking and a rating that update on their own. It is built for groups of friends, clubs and amateur leagues. It launches in Argentina, free, for Android and iOS.

When does it launch?

It is not available to download yet. We are finishing it and opened a waitlist to tell you the moment it ships. People on the list get in first and open the leagues.

Is it free?

Yes. Podio launches free for Android and iOS, with no ads. If some part of it ever became paid, you would know beforehand, and never for what you already used for free.

How is it different from logging matches in a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet cannot tell whether a result is true, and it cannot sort by level. In Podio the rival confirms each match before it counts, and the table is sorted by a rating that weighs who you beat, not just how many times you won.

How does it work out my level?

With a rating from the same family chess uses, the Elo system. Beat someone stronger and it jumps; lose to someone weaker and it drops. At first you show up as calibrating while it gathers matches to sharpen the number.

Do my rivals need the app?

Not to start. You can add a rival as a guest and log the match anyway. When that person joins Podio, they claim their history and the matches already logged count toward their rating.
